Publication Ethics

The Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Artificial Intelligence  is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct throughout the publication process. The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Editorial Board, reviewers, authors, and publisher share responsibility for ensuring that all published research meets internationally accepted ethical and professional standards.

Investigation of Research Misconduct

The journal takes all allegations of research and publication misconduct seriously. Suspected cases of plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated or falsified data, image manipulation, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, or any other unethical practice will be investigated thoroughly and fairly in accordance with COPE guidance.

Where misconduct is confirmed, the journal may take appropriate editorial action, including manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, expressions of concern, article retraction, or notification of the authors' affiliated institutions or funding agencies when necessary.

Originality of Submissions

Authors must submit only original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal. All sources must be appropriately cited, and permission must be obtained for any copyrighted material included in the manuscript. Authors are expected to accurately present their research findings and avoid any form of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification.

Data Transparency and Sharing

The journal encourages authors to maintain accurate research records and, where appropriate, make the data supporting their findings available to readers, reviewers, and other researchers. Data sharing promotes transparency, reproducibility, and scientific advancement while respecting ethical, legal, and privacy requirements.

Manuscript Handling

All submitted manuscripts undergo a fair, confidential, and unbiased editorial evaluation. Each submission is initially screened by the editorial office to assess its suitability for the journal's scope, compliance with submission guidelines, and ethical requirements.

Manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process. Eligible submissions are then sent for peer review, and the final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers' recommendations, scientific merit, originality, and editorial standards.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence or appear to influence the publication process.

Where a conflict of interest exists, appropriate measures will be taken to ensure an impartial review and editorial decision, including reassignment of reviewers or editors when necessary. Any relevant conflicts disclosed by authors will be published alongside the article where appropriate.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors who believe that an editorial decision was based on a misunderstanding or procedural error may submit a reasoned appeal to the Editorial Office. Appeals are reviewed independently by the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately designated editor who was not involved in the original decision.

Complaints relating to editorial processes, peer review, publication ethics, or publication malpractice are handled confidentially, fairly, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is committed to resolving all concerns in a transparent and timely manner.
