Peer Review Process

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of all published research. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process to maintain an impartial and unbiased evaluation.

The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for ethical peer review and expects all reviewers to adhere to the principles outlined by COPE while conducting manuscript evaluations. 

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to determine whether they:

  • Align with the journal's aims and scope.

  • Comply with the journal's submission requirements.

  • Meet ethical and publication standards.

  • Successfully pass plagiarism screening.

Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected without external review.

Reviewer Selection

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, and the absence of any conflicts of interest.

Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and scientific contribution

  • Relevance to mathematical modelling and artificial intelligence

  • Methodological soundness and technical quality

  • Validity of results and conclusions

  • Compliance with ethical standards

  • Clarity, organization, and overall presentation

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may decide to accept the manuscript, request minor or major revisions, or reject the submission.

Review Timeline

The journal aims to complete the peer review process in a timely manner. The typical review schedule is:

  • Initial Editorial Screening: Approximately 1 week

  • Reviewer Invitation and Acceptance: Up to 2 weeks

  • Peer Review: Approximately 4 weeks

  • Final Editorial Decision: Within 6 weeks of submission

The review timeline may vary depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.

Authorship 

Authorship Criteria

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research. All authors are expected to:

  • Contribute significantly to the conception, design, analysis, or interpretation of the study.

  • Participate in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.

  • Approve the final version before submission.

  • Accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the published work.

Acknowledgments

Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately with their consent. Such contributions may include technical assistance, language editing, administrative support, or funding.
